High Technology
The development of the high technology market has been included among the Russian economy's five priority modernization areas.
According to various estimates, in 2010 the size of the high technology market increased 14% and reached 565,8 bln dollars. Although experts say pre-crisis level it will reach in 2013.
Over the outlook period from 2010 to 2012, the sector development will be centered around the implementation of the Information Society Development Strategy approved by the President of the Russian Federation on 07 February 2008. The sector's growth in the coming years will be driven, among other things, by budget financing with around 250 bln rubles of budget funds allocated through the federal special-purpose programs mechanism.
